Make Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop

Don’t Feed the Weeds.

Rainwater from your roof creates runoff which picks up chemicals and soil erosion as it goes into Otisco Lake.  Runoff contributes to unwanted weed growth in the lake.

Learn how to capture the rain in a rain barrel and reuse it before it feeds the weeds.

$20.00 per barrel for OLPA members

$40.00 per barrel for non-members

Price includes instruction, the 55 gal food grade barrel, all the hardware and tools to make your own rain barrel.

Registration is limited to 20 barrels.  Register here.

Macrophyte Survey Program Workshop:

July 14th 10am -12pm

Presented by: The Finger Lakes Institute

Where: Otisco Lake Park on July 14 from 10-12.

This hands on event is all about both invasive and native species in our lake. Come see how to identify what's growing in the water and join the effort to fight invasive species in the Finger Lakes. If you look at plants in the water, or what washes up on your shore, or if you ride the harvester and see types of weeds, this event will be for you! Its free and easy to learn.
